Team workspaces and roles

Share films, credits and a plan with the people you invite, each with a role: owner, admin, editor or viewer.

A team workspace shares films, credits and the plan with the people you invite, with roles and approvals. Your personal workspace stays as it is.

Create one

Go to Settings › Team and choose Create team workspace, or use New team workspace in the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar. You can own up to five team workspaces.

Switch between your personal workspace and your teams from the same menu.

Roles

  • Owner: everything an admin can do, plus deleting the workspace. Each workspace has one owner.
  • Admin: manages people, settings, billing and approvals.
  • Editor: makes and edits films.
  • Viewer: watches films, but can't change anything.

Invite people

Under Settings › Team, enter an email address and a role and choose Invite someone. You can also type "invite [email protected] as an editor" on Home, or use + New › Invite a teammate.

They get an email with a link to join. If the email can't be sent, copy the link and send it yourself. An invitation works once and expires in 14 days. You can revoke it under Invited.

Each person, and each open invitation, uses a seat. A workspace without a plan has room only for its owner. See Seats.

Plan and credits

A team workspace has its own plan and credits, under Settings › Billing and Settings › Usage. Only owners and admins manage them.

Emails in a team workspace

Emails about the workspace go to the members they concern: a finished video to whoever started it, billing and low credits to owners and admins, and digests and new sign-ups to owners, admins and editors. Each person can turn their own emails off in Settings › Account.

Working together

Leaving or deleting

Members can Leave workspace. The owner can make someone else the owner, or Delete workspace, which deletes its films, chats, credits and plan for everyone and cancels the plan at once. You type the workspace's name to confirm. This can't be undone.
