Making an animation

Describe an animation, paste a link or add screenshots, review the storyboard, then let the studio build it.

An animation is a short film made from a sentence, a link, a feed or screenshots. You can use it as a video, a website section, a social clip or a slide.

Start it

On Home, describe what you want, or open + New › Animation. You can also pick a kind from + › An animation about:

  • Product demo: walk through a product or feature.
  • Explain how something works: a process, a system or an idea.
  • Tell a story: news, history or a topic.
  • Turn posts into social clips: from a blog or RSS feed.

The studio asks only what it needs: where it will go (a website, a social post, a presentation or video), its length (15, 30 or 60 seconds), and how it should look (real photos, animated characters, illustrations or motion graphics). Choose Use your judgment for everything to let it decide the rest.

Review the storyboard

Before anything is built, you can see the plan: the scenes, what each one says and, for stories, the sources behind the facts. Choose Plan the storyboard to review it first, or Skip review · generate now.

Draft or directed film

You can make a quick draft first, or a directed film that is reviewed and improved in rounds. See Drafts and directed films.

Shape and platform

Pick the canvas shape in the preview: Landscape 16:10, Video 16:9, Wide 21:9, Square 1:1, Feed 4:5, Portrait 3:4 or Vertical 9:16. When you make a film for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X or YouTube, it is framed and paced for that platform.

From a template

Where it goes

Every animation is saved under Library › Animations, and its chat stays under Recent chats.
