Product demos from screenshots
Turn up to eight screenshots of your product, a Figma file or a screen recording into an animated product demo.
A product demo shows your real product at work. The studio reads your screens, works out the story, and animates them with your product filling the frame.
Add your screens
On Home, choose + › An animation about › Product demo, then add screens in any of these ways:
- Upload images: from the + menu (Upload images or an HTML animation), by dropping them on the chat, or by pasting. Use PNG, JPEG or WebP screenshots under 8 MB each.
- From Figma: choose + › From Figma or a screen recording, paste a link to a file or frame and import up to eight frames. The first time, paste a Figma personal access token (in Figma: Settings › Security › Personal access tokens); it is kept for your account only.
- From a screen recording: from the same menu item, upload an MP4, WebM or MOV up to 200 MB and the key screens are pulled out for you.
- With the Chrome extension: capture screens, a whole page or a click-through and send them straight to the studio. See Programmable Capture for Chrome.
A demo uses up to eight screens. If you don't have screens, the product is rebuilt as illustrative UI instead.
Tips for good screens
- Capture at a size that suits where it's going: 1920 × 1080 for AppSumo or any 16:9 use, 1270 × 760 for a Product Hunt gallery. The extension can size your window for you.
- Use sample data for customer names, emails and figures. Blur can sometimes be undone, so for anything private, cover it with Hide when you mark up a capture.
- Add screens in the order a user would see them, or record a click-through so the demo follows your steps.
After it is made
- Share it as a clickable Interactive demo: visitors click the highlighted spot to move through your screens at their own pace. It is in the Share panel and in Export.
- Use Turn into components to plan a family of website sections from it.
- Export it for every social platform at full resolution.
