The Ideas board

Save links, notes, images and pages to make something from later, then pick a few and make an animation, deck, graphics or a logo.

Ideas is a board for things you want to make something from later: pages, quotes, images, screens, products and brands you gather with the Capture extension, plus your own links and notes.

Add ideas

  • Choose Add ideas on the board to save a link or write a note.
  • Use + New › Idea from anywhere in the studio.
  • In the Chrome extension, choose Save to Ideas instead of sending to the studio. See Programmable Capture for Chrome.

Organise them

  • Edit, or add a note: change an idea's text, including pages and quotes you captured, and add a note on why it matters or how to use it.
  • Pin to the top keeps important ideas first.
  • Search finds anything on the board.
  • Tags show as chips above the board; pick one to see only those ideas. See Asking about your ideas.
  • Open the original goes back to the page it came from.

Versions of an idea

When you edit an idea, the text as it was captured is kept. Open Versions from the edit dialog to see earlier text and Restore any of it.

Make something

Pick one or more ideas and make an animation, a deck, graphics or a logo from them in the bar that appears once you pick them.

You can also ask about your ideas first, such as what to make from them. See Asking about your ideas.

Ideas in projects

A project shows the ideas saved while working in it, or added from the board.

Deleting

Delete moves an idea to Trash, where you can restore it for 30 days. Anything already made from it stays.
