Bring your own AI keys (BYOK)
Use your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key on a BYOK plan, so your provider bills you for the AI and no credits are used.
With a BYOK (bring your own key) plan, the studio runs on your own AI accounts. Your provider bills you for the AI directly, and no credits are used. The plan pays for the studio and sets how many animations you can make each month.
Get a BYOK plan
Go to Settings › Billing and choose Your own AI keys. The plans cost the same as the credit plans and include every feature. A BYOK plan is a separate subscription from a credits plan; if you have both, each keeps running until you cancel it.
Add your keys
Go to Settings › AI and models and add one or more keys:
- Anthropic API key.
- OpenAI API key.
- Google Gemini API key.
Each key shows whether it works. With more than one key, if a provider fails or hits a limit, the step continues on your next key (Anthropic, then OpenAI, then Google). Your OpenAI key also draws character artwork and voiceovers.
Keeping your keys
Keep my keys with my account is on by default: your keys are encrypted and used only for your own requests, so they're there after a reload and on your other devices. Turn it off to remove them; keys then stay only in that browser tab until you reload.
What counts as an animation
Making a new film, regenerating one, or making a variant. Planning a storyboard, revisions, polish and chat don't count. The allowance resets on the first of each month (UTC).
Keys without a plan
If you add keys without a BYOK plan, they aren't used and generation keeps using your credits. The studio offers to clear them or start a BYOK plan.
